Great turnout for GAEL FORCE REGATTA

Lossiemouth Cruising Club – Gael Force Regatta
 
LCC held their annual Gael Force Regatta on Saturday 14 August in fine sailing conditions and with a great turn-out of eleven boats from Cruisers to Racers. Three races were held with Mike Soper acting as OOD, ably assisted by Committee Member Stuart Brooks who supplied his yacht as Committee Boat.  Marks were laid by Tony, Rich and Mike in breezy conditions which faded during the day. Three races were held after an East Basin briefing and all returned safely to the Marina later in the day. Overall first was taken by Swordfish, second by Dignity and third by Hestia. 
 
The Committee thank sponsors including the Marina Manager, Amanda, for berthing, Gael Force, Firth Hotel and Urquharts for whisky and gin, all of which was appreciated by participants who came from Whitehills, Portknockie, Findochty and Lossie.  We look forward to a more active season next year and please track our activity on Website, Facebook and WhatsApp.  Please contact a Committee Member for more information.  Finally, special thanks to Tony Wright for leading the organisation of this event on behalf of the Committee.
